    corresponding to the selected objects will be multiplied; defaults to 1.0>]  \
    [file=<ASCII file from which weights will be read for selected objects>]


The scale_object keyword is used to assign different weights to the objects of the currently loaded dataset, in order to perform a sample-weighted partial least squares regression as described, among others, by Xu and co-workers [1]. Namely, both X and Y PLS matrix rows corresponding to selected objects are multiplied by the square root of user-defined coefficients.
